I’m so happy to announce the launch of my company Unfold Yoga + Wellness! My dear friend and business partner Katie and I founded this corporate wellness company to bring yoga and meditation to offices around Chicago. As most of you know, I am a lawyer. Katie is a marketing executive. We know the pains, both physical and mental, that come from sitting at a desk for hours a day and from working in stressful environments.
Katie and I were both a few years into teaching yoga on the side, and working full time jobs, when we began to discuss the idea of corporate wellness. It started out with a few venting sessions at happy hour, talking about how stress was affecting our minds and bodies. And we would discuss ways to alleviate these pains through yoga.
During this time we were both teaching yoga at a large aerospace company in Chicago, who hosts two yoga classes a week. We were noticing that our students were making great progress, most of whom had never done yoga before they met us. They would comment to us after class about how yoga was helping them stay pain free at work, so they could be more productive. This experience peaked our interest further, and after many hours of strategizing and business planning, we decided to form a wellness company to expand our reach.
We put our individual skills to work, I took care of the legal, Katie the marketing, and from those efforts Unfold was born.
We aim to teach group yoga classes in offices around Chicago. We are well versed in corporate spaces and are confident that we can make classes work in any environment. Law firms, large companies, small start-ups, salons, you name it, we’ve done it! Check out our services and let us know if you would like to bring yoga or meditation to your office!
You can still find me in the yoga studio. Check out my “class schedule” tab for my weekly public classes. I hope to see you on the mat – whether in the studio, in your office, or at your home!
We are also available for speaking engagements. Contact hello@unfoldyogawellness for more details.
